A Lifestyle of Impact

Everyday California was looking for a way to engage their customers through social impact. Discover how Everyday California saw an 11% Conversion Rate lift by integrating social good throughout their marketing funnels.

Background

Everyday California is an apparel and adventure brand based in sunny La Jolla. The company started in the midst of the 2008 recession with two guys running discounted adventure tours on the beach. They’ve grown since then, now offering apparel and lifestyle products with their ultimate hope to share the California lifestyle with everyone around the world still shining through.

Opportunity

Everyday California is a proud partner of 1% for the Planet and wanted a way to give back even more and involve their customers in meeting their impact goals. They wanted a donation solution that would allow them to donate to nonprofit organizations quicker, and wanted to reinforce the legitimacy of their cause marketing efforts to their customers.

Strategy

Through ShoppingGives, Everyday California has supported causes such as Greenwave, Surfrider Foundation, Urban Surf 4 Kids, and Outdoor Outreach. Everyday California encourages their customers to support the causes that matter to them, but they wanted to do more. To create as much impact as possible, Everyday California set a default and a multiplier on Greenwave, so every single order donates.

By including ShoppingGives into their marketing initiatives, Everyday California feels comfort in knowing that their customers can see the legitimacy of the donations upfront and can be involved in their cause marketing on a deeper level.

To the Everyday California team, giving back is what matters to them.

“I think it [giving back] used to be a selling point for the original give back brands. Now, it’s a necessity with Millennials and Gen Z. It needs to be a core pillar for any brand, especially in eCommerce.” - Christopher Lynch, Founder & CEO of Everyday California
