We’re thrilled to announce the winners of our annual ShoppingGives Social Impact Awards! This celebration recognizes our partners’ outstanding social impact efforts and the meaningful impact they drive every day for charitable causes.
We are ever grateful at the amount of impact that our community and The Giving Economy™ creates year over year, and love being able to celebrate these accomplishments. Our partners’ commitment to giving back is incredible to witness and we’re honored to be a part of their social impact journey.

Social Impact of the Year Award - Veronica Beard
The Social Impact of the Year Award recognizes a brand that has made the most significant impact to the community by being the largest single donor within The Giving Economy™ during the last year. Veronica Beard is awarded this recognition for going above and beyond to drive a meaningful and lasting impact for charitable causes.
Veronica Beard, a New York-based contemporary fashion and apparel brand, takes an evergreen approach to their giving initiatives, and rotates the nonprofit organizations they work with on a quarterly basis. One example of an initiative they ran in 2023 was in partnership with The Jed Foundation.
Through their #VBGIVESBACK program, Veronica Beard created donations on every online purchase from January-March 2023 for The Jed Foundation, in addition to volunteer efforts and special give-back days at their stores nationwide. This campaign helped to not only raise funds for mental health support, but to normalize mental health challenges for teens and young adults.

Change Makers Award - Kenneth Cole
The Change Makers Award recognizes a brand with the most engaged social impact that is taking charge in highlighting their efforts among their employees, community, and customers. Kenneth Cole is awarded this recognition because they think of impact in several ways, ranging from charitable donations to curated collections that bring focus to important causes.
Kenneth Cole is a clothing and shoe retailer that is committed to promoting inclusivity and advocating for and supporting causes related to public health and civil liberties. To commemorate 40 years of purpose, Kenneth Cole launched an inaugural Day of Purpose celebration, where 100% of online sales were donated to vital mental health efforts. To raise awareness for their efforts, Kenneth Cole ran a powerful media asset in Times Square that encouraged people to shop their website in support of Mental Health.

Innovative Impact Award - Coach/Coachtopia
The Innovative Impact Award recognizes a brand that has integrated social impact throughout their customer journey in the most innovative way. Coach is awarded this recognition for leading the way into the future of social impact. Coachtopia, a collaborative lab for innovation within Coach, is committed to supporting the planet and making an impact on every purchase.
Coachtopia was founded with a mission to help advance a circular fashion system. As a member of 1% for the planet, Coachtopia is committed to innovating new ways of making and remaking products in support of the planet. To further their impact, Coachtopia donates 1% on all online purchases towards Black Girl Environmentalist, a national organization dedicated to addressing the pathway and retention issue in the climate movement for Black girls, women and gender-expansive people.

Rising Star Award - ALOHA
The Rising Star Award recognizes the brand that is an emerging leader in social impact and has experienced the most donation growth since last year. ALOHA is awarded this recognition for making significant strides in their social impact efforts over the past year and increasing the powerful impact they are able to create for their supported nonprofits.
ALOHA is an organic plant-based protein company who is driven by their commitment to sustainability and nutrition. In 2023, ALOHA was focused on driving awareness for their impact initiatives through their website, dedicated landing page, email marketing, and social media channels. On GivingTuesday, ALOHA leveraged a hero banner on their website to inform customers and website visitors that every purchase made that day would donate 10% towards KUPU, in support of the Maui relief efforts.

Diversity in Giving Award - Olaplex
The Diversity in Giving award recognizes a brand that supported the highest number of nonprofit organizations last year, driven by customer giving. Olaplex is awarded this recognition for empowering their customers to get involved with their giving initiatives and enabling them to support the causes that matter most to them. As a result, Olaplex had the ability to create a meaningful impact for a larger number of unique nonprofits.
Olaplex, an innovative hair care company, creates an engaging approach to social impact by empowering their customers to get involved in a meaningful way. Through their online store, Olaplex customers have the opportunity to search and select a cause of their choice to be supported by their purchase. To encourage their customers to participate during the 2023 holiday season, Olaplex used their homepage to promote their giving initiatives and inform their customers how they can support their favorite causes before checking out.

Adapting for Good Award - Rowing Blazers
The Adapting for Good Award recognizes a brand that has adapted their giving strategy and engaged in direct response fundraising in the wake of current events and crises to make a positive impact where needed most. Rowing Blazers is awarded this recognition for responding to the needs of their community by shifting their giving efforts to call attention to timely causes.
Rowing Blazers, a clothing and accessories brand known for its traditional craftsmanship and sense of fun, partner with and donate to a diverse array of organizations doing work that they believe in. In addition to their evergreen giving, Rowing Blazers jumped into action amidst the Maui fires and donated 20% of all sales from their Jams World collection, a partnership with Hawaiian brand, Jams World, to the Maui Food Bank. To continue supporting the Maui community, Rowing Blazers continue to drive donations towards Maui Food Bank through their online store.

Best GivingTuesday Activation Award - Steve Madden
The Best GivingTuesday Activation Award recognizes a brand that had an incredible giving strategy during the 2023 holiday season and leveraged a default cause to maximize their impact during the season of giving. Steve Madden is awarded this recognition for prioritizing impact and leading with their values during a time of heightened sales and discounts.
Steve Madden, a New York-based shoes, apparel, and accessories brand, took their giving initiatives to the next level for GivingTuesday 2023. To maximize their impact during the largest giving day of the year, Steve Madden donated 5% on all online purchases towards CARE and Callen-Lorde, in addition to enabling their customers to add-on a donation amount of their choice at checkout.

Nonprofit of the Year Award - Heifer International
The Nonprofit of the Year Award recognizes the nonprofit organization that was supported by the most ShoppingGives brand partners during the last year. Heifer International is awarded this recognition for doing meaningful work that inspires our brand partners to raise awareness, fundraise for, and support their ongoing mission of ending hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth.
To achieve their mission, Heifer International provides appropriate livestock, training, and related services to small-scale farmers and communities worldwide. They work in 19 countries around the world to support farmers and their communities as they mobilize and envision their futures, provide training so they can improve the quantity and quality of the goods they produce, and connections to markets to increase sales and incomes.

Tech Partner of the Year Award - Yotpo
The Tech Partner of the Year Award recognizes a technology partner that created the most impact in the community through a partnership with ShoppingGives. Yotpo is awarded this recognition for enabling technology for good. Through a collaborative partnership, Yotpo is helping to revolutionize the way that brands build customer loyalty by combining rewards with donations.
In partnership with Yotpo, we’ve been able to create a more engaging shopper experience that increases customer loyalty for our mutual brand partners. Through this integration, brands can reward customers for creating donations on everyday actions, allow shoppers to donate their reward points, grant customers the power to refer and reward their friends with donations, and incentivize repeat donors (aka VIP customers) with higher level donations. This uniquely powerful partnership enables brands to increase customer loyalty while encouraging repeat purchases.
